The only regret is that they did not play like this sooner. WestHam United delivered arguably their best home performance of theseason yesterday, beating Cardiff City 3-0 and securing their placein the Championship play-off final at Wembley – with the £90mriches on offer for promotion to the Premier League.
Even the aggregate scoreline of 5-0 does not fully convey West Ham's dominance. They were exceptional here, attacking with a confidence and fluidity far removed from much on show at the Boleyn Ground this season.
