Arsenal’s hopes of qualifying for next season’s Champions League are now out of their hands after the Gunners were held to a thrilling 3-3 draw at home to Norwich. It was the fourth consecutive league match in which Arsenal have failed to take maximum points, and only the most one-eyed Gooner would say Norwich weren’t worthy of a share of the spoils on a day when Bacary Sagna broke his leg.
Yes, Arsenal had a claim for a blatant penalty turned down in stoppage time by the incompetent Anthony Taylor but the referee also failed to give the Canaries a spot kick in the first half when Russell Martin was pulled down by Laurent Koscielny as he closed in on goal.
