Blackburn physio keeps the stars on the road
By Dan Clough, Reporter PAIN BARRIER Dave treats Andrew Flintoff during the epic journey A PHYSIOTHERAPIST has helped a former Lancashire cricket star and England rugby international in their Cycle Slam across Europe.
Andrew Flintoff and Lawrence Dallaglio are in the middle of an epic 22-day journey from Olympia, the birthplace of the ancient Olympic Games, to London – a distance of 1,795 miles.
And they have been looked after all the way by Blackburn physio Dave ‘Rooster’ Roberts.
The challenge began fewer than 24 hours after Mr Roberts accompanied Sir Ian Botham across the finishing line of his Great British Walk, The Cycle Slam, which will end on May 18, is raising money for... read more
