Care flats up for sale
FLATS which house a group of elderly people in Carlisle have gone on the market for £450,000. Upgrade needed: Edenvale House, Stanwix The eight homes at Edenvale House, on Marlborough Gardens, Stanwix, belongs to the care organisation Anchor.
Last year, they told the residents who live there that they would have to leave their homes because it would be too expensive to upgrade the building in which they live.
Anchor said they were having to sell the building because it was no longer fit for purpose and a refurbishment would cost too much.
The property is being advertised on several property websites.
