QUEEN Elizabeth II has been on the throne for 60 years, and people all over the world will celebrate her Diamond Jubilee with an extended bank holiday weekend from 2nd - 5th June. Here in Gainsborough plans are coming together for a thrilling weekend of parties, services and even picnics.

We would also like to hear from anyone who celebrated their 60th birthday on 6th February 2012, having been born on the same day in 1952 that Elizabeth became Queen.
Perhaps you have fond memories of the Queen’s coronation on 2nd June 1953 as the country celebrated the crowning of its new monarch.
