Week driving ban for no insurance
A WEST Ashby man, who was said to have had a provisional driving licence for about 23 years, has admitted driving without being supervision or insurance. Wayne Lawrence Cobb, 39, of Kirk Close was interviewed by police after a road accident and admitted the offences.
The car he was driving did not belong to him and the insurance only covered the owner, Skegness Magistrates’ Court heard on Friday.
Cobb had pleaded guilty by letter but magistrates ordered him to attend the court as he was liable to be disqualified under the totting up procedure.
But when they heard he had been offered a job starting in three weeks time which required a driving licence, they decided against it.
