İstanbul Expo Center will once again welcome the International Carpet and Flooring Expo (ICFE), whose fourth edition is scheduled for January 6 to 9, 2027. With more than 500 exhibitors and close to 35,000 trade professionals from in excess of 150 countries expected, the show aims to open new channels for global business and collaborative ventures.
Istanbul, Türkiye: The International Carpet and Flooring Expo (ICFE) 2027 will be held at the Istanbul Fair Center (İFM), with the halls open January 6 to 9, 2027. Support for the fair comes from the Southeastern Anatolia Carpet Exporters Association (GAHIB) and the İstanbul Carpet Exporters Association (IHIB), while Tüyap Fairs and Exhibitions Organization Inc. is in charge of its organisation.
Professionals across the industry, ranging from importers and wholesalers to manufacturers, interior designers, architects and chain stores, will converge on Istanbul, where Türkiye’s international reputation for carpet making meets global commerce.
A meeting point for worldwide carpet business
Exhibitors can enter new markets, set up export ties and build partnerships worldwide, as the fair presents Türkiye’s manufacturing strengths, design skill and well-placed location to buyers from abroad.
Organisers foresee a line-up of more than 500 exhibitors at ICFE 2027, with roughly 35,000 visitors arriving from over 150 countries.
Throughout the event, new commercial contacts are set to be made between exhibitors and professional buyers representing important buying markets for floor coverings and carpets, namely Germany, Italy, China, India, Belgium, the USA, Russia, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Morocco and Central Asian countries.
How Istanbul’s position helps trade
Sitting at the junction of Europe and Asia, the city has modern transport and logistics infrastructure, which helps give ICFE its international draw.
A broad web of direct flights lets professionals reach the fair easily from almost anywhere, and exhibitors can tap a number of markets in one venue.
Lower duty rate to draw foreign exhibitors

A significant new rule intended to support the show and attract participants from overseas has been issued by the Directorate General of Customs, a body within the Republic of Türkiye’s Ministry of Trade. Foreign exhibitors bringing goods to the event previously paid a temporary customs duty of 100% of their FOB (Free on Board) value under national customs law; for ICFE 2027 only, that charge falls to 10%.
Worked out jointly and at length by public bodies and representatives of the sector, the rule should markedly lighten financial costs for international firms showing high-value products. A broader mix of participating countries and growth in international trade volume at the exhibition are further anticipated outcomes.
Design and expertise in the spotlight
Beyond the stands, a programme of events at ICFE 2027 will encourage innovation, help the industry develop and spread know-how.
At Carpet Talks, which drew a strong response at past editions, prominent names from the sector will reconvene to talk through production, branding, design and sectoral transformation.
Innovative carpet designs will gain international exposure through the Carpet Design Awards, which put original work before professionals in the industry. As for the Carpet Workshop, its special concept sees designers from different countries cooperate on production, offering inspiration to those visiting.
Connecting the trade for new deals
As a trade platform, ICFE 2027 will give manufacturers, exporters, importers, distributors, wholesalers, chain stores, architects, interior designers, decorators and other industry professionals the means to look into new commercial openings.
Meeting new suppliers, tracking emerging industry trends, joining B2B meetings and enlarging international business networks will all be possible for participants while the fair is on.
Last time round, the fair welcomed 445 exhibitors and 31,410 visitors from 127 countries. With that behind it, ICFE 2027 is looking to firm up its standing among the world’s top carpet and flooring shows through a larger turnout and more visibility abroad.
